Forbidding yourself from eating something rarely stops you from eating it.
Instead, it creates a greater intensity surrounding that food, a stronger attraction to it, and you weaken your ability to trust yourself eating it.
A lot of people end up romanticizing the food they tell themselves they can’t have. They talk about how much they love that particular food, but that they’re weak and can’t eat it without overdoing it.
Over time food ends up controlling them and they start doubting their ability to eat in a way that makes them feel their best while eating the foods they want and love.
The process of going from food controlling you to you getting back in control of food is a necessary part of you being able to experience food freedom. So in episode 72 of our podcast – Fitness & Sushi, Deanna and I are going to show you what that process looks like so you can stop feeling imprisoned by food.
In this episode – “How to Feel in Control of Food Using Permission-Based Eating”, you’ll learn…
🔶 How to get to a place of “I don’t want” instead of “I can’t have”
🔶 What permission-based eating is
🔶 Why having permission to eat anything doesn’t mean you’ll eat everything
🔶 Why you can’t force mindful eating
