You don’t need the scale to tell you if you’ve made progress.
There’s a lot of fear surrounding giving up the scale. People think if they stop weighing they either won’t know if they’re making progress, or they’ll start gaining weight.
Both of these scenarios are rooted in distrust of yourself that you don’t know how to eat and move your body in a way that makes you feel your best. And when you combine distrust with defining progress solely on your weight, you create an atmosphere of frustration and a dependency on the scale for validation.
Many times the scale is the very thing keeping you stuck in old thinking patterns that are holding you back. So in episode 73 of our podcast – Fitness & Sushi, Deanna and I are going to show you how to let go of the scale and start trusting yourself again.
